This tool kit is made with heavy black steel to ensure proper balance during use and durability for long years of use. The rack is hand-filed during assembly to make sure that the tools fit smoothly into place. The handles are designed to fit your hand and are permanently bonded to the rod so no handle will ever come lose. A broad heavy base on the stand keeps the unit from tipping. Broom brushes are made from Tampico, which is a natural fiber that is selected for its superb texture and durability. The shovel and tongs are solidly riveted and proportioned generously for easier use. The stand is 30" high and the unit weighs 18 lbs.

This can be used in an outdoor fireplace, but the components could rust if left outdoors in between uses.

Excellent Mid-Grade Set
I compared these tools with several other sets at major hardware stores before I bought them. Those others were somewhat cheaper, but they were a lot more cumbersome to handle. This set isn’t too hefty, but it’s not a featherweight either. Its tools are very sturdy and well made. I think their size is ideal for smaller fireplaces.
