I have a gas direct vent Vermont casting stove, would these get hot enough to be effective?
Those are meant to be used with wood-burning appliances and would not get hot enough to work with a gas stove.

It would be recommended to use a piece of ceramic glass, if you decide to place glass on the stove top. Ceramic glass is the same material used in the doors of woodstoves.

If you have a Dutch oven or like making tea on your stove, I can recommend this product to you. Upon very close inspection, it seems like some of the edges aren't very smooth, but it doesn't affect the functionality. Also, please remember to take the rubber feet off of the trivet before cooking with it.
