What is the overall height of this Dura-black 7 inch diameter 24 gauge black stovepipe adaptor?
By eFireplaceStore on November 16, 2015
Answer:Overall height of this adapter is 4 inches. On average, the crimped end will insert into the stove collar by at least 1/2 of an inch.

Do you have a male/male connector? I had to cut a 7" piece and I am trying to connect the two 7 inch pieces together and I thought that maybe they provided a connector to slip each of them into instead of having to crimp the one. Can you help me?

An item that we sell that can be used for this application is the Snap-Lock Black Steel Stovepipe Draw Band for Connecting Stoves with Large Flue Collars - 7-Inch Diameter
. While it is normally used to seal pipe to the flue collar of the stove, it is also able to be tightened down to link two male pipe ends. However, for best protection against creosote leakage, it is always better to crimp the upper pipe and insert it into the lower pipe. Pipe crimpers for this application are commonly available in the HVAC section of home improvement stores.

Is there a 7" black damper available? I did not come across/ or missed it in my perusal of the catalog. I was looking at possibly adapting the stovepipe adapter by converting it to a damper.

Indeed, there is a 7" Damper option
. It is intended for the exact use that you describe.
