I am installing a free-standing wood stove with a 6" outlet and I have the chimney pipe for the exterior that has an inside diameter of 9" and an outside diameter of 14". Do you have a cathedral ceiling support box that would work for this application?

Answer:Unfortunately, we do not carry a ceiling support box for a chimney pipe of this size. Based on the dimensions of your chimney pipe, it seems that it is an air cooled chimney system, which is commonly used to vent a manufactured fireplace.
Because this type of chimney usually runs continuously from the fireplace to the termination above the roof, a ceiling support box is not usually offered. A firestop at the ceiling is usually all that can be found. Any ceiling support box for this product would need to be custom fabricated. Otherwise, the chimney will need to be replaced.

Does the stove pipe pass through this DuraPlus All-Fuel square cathedral ceiling support box or attach to it?
By Chris C. on September 3, 2015
Answer:When installing either single or double wall stove pipe to the Duraplus support box, the stove pipe will attach to the underside of the support box. From the interior of the support box is where the connection/adaption is made to the Duraplus chimney system.
