This All-Fuel Chimney Storm Collar by Dura-Tech is for chimney pipes with a 12 in. inner diameter. The storm collar provides added protection between your ventilation pipe and flashing during inclement weather, and gives an air tight, waterproof seal to provide the best moisture defense possible. This storm collar is made of durable aluminum construction and is c-IL-us Listed to UL 103 and ULC S604 (MH7399). Stainless steel outer wall required for installation in Canada.

Should the storm collar rest on the top of vent pipe (opening)?
The storm collar is meant to cover the space between the vent pipe and the opening at the top of your roof flashing.
