    • 24-gauge steel construction
    • Sleek black finish

*Venting Requirements: This unit requires venting pipe with an inner diameter of 6 Inches. Please see the Venting Components section on this page for venting pipe that must be used with this unit.

Each vent construction is unique, and you might need to reduce the stovepipe diameter from 6" to 5". This connector is made of 24-gauge steel like other components of the Snap-Lock system and comes in with a sleek black finish. The 6" end is the male end and the 5" end is a female end. When installed, this part requires the maintenance of an 18" clearance to combustible materials. This part connects easily to other Snap-Lock products.

Do you have a 7x4 female reducer?
By Tyler M. - Fireplace Specialist on January 14, 2013

    Answer:
Unfortunately, no. We recommend having something fabricated by a local machine shop or sheet metal expert. We apologize that we are unable to assist you with this.

I have a fireplace insert with a 6" rectangle damper. I don't want to change the integrity of the damper and there is a hinge bracket right in the middle as well. I am thinking about using a side adapter on the insert portal as well as this Snap-Lock Black Steel stovepipe 6" male to 5" female reducer to get to the flexible chimney pipe. What are your thoughts on this?
    By Will M. on July 15, 2015

    Answer:
In all likelihood, the collar of the side of the insert is for outside air and this cannot be used to vent the insert, however, there will be two ways to accomplish the goal of passing through the damper without affecting the damper's integrity. One solution would be to ovalize 6" round flexible chimney liner allowing it to pass through the damper and connect to the insert. A better and more simple solution would be to connect a HomeSaver Small Ovalflex Adaptor (Straight/round on top to Ovalflex on bottom) to the end of the flexible liner before dropping the 6" liner down the flue. The ovalized portion could safely pass through the damper and connect to a HomeSaver Small Ovalflex Adaptor (Ovalflex on top to straight/round on bottom) with a small section of flexible liner and a Connector-Adaptor to connect to the insert flue.

We had to replace an old stovepipe in a Wood-fired sauna: The only way to do this without tearing up the wall, was to find a 5" pipe and also a way to adapt it to the existing 6" pipe. A local store told us these were not available ANYWHERE; well, your online store proved them wrong. We are very pleased with the quality and the fast service you provide for shipping.

You offered a product no longer available locally and extremely hard to find over the web, The 6x5 increasers were totally up to expectations and arrived before the expected ship-in date. Great job!
