Despite its small size, the Snap-Lock company puts the same attention to detailed, sturdy construction into this increaser as it does all its other stove pipe vent products. Painted in a durable black to match the design of the rest of your stove pipe, this piece allows a 7 inch diameter pipe to be joined securely to an eight inch diameter pipe. 24-gauge steel ensures powerful strength, and only 18 inches of clearance from combustible materials is required.

Is this adapter made out of galvanized metal? Also, is the 8" x 48" black pipe made out of the same material?
The Snap Lock product line is indeed manufactured from galvanized steel, including both the adapters and pipe lengths.
