This 36-inch unit vents to the outdoors and has an air-circulating automatic blower. The tempered-glass front allows a clear view of the aged-brick interior and realistic glowing embers and lava rock. This fireplace comes with a built-in millivolt ignition system that does not require electricity to light, making it ideal for use during power outages. Any direct-vent fireplace requires a barrier screen to protect users from injury by inadvertently touching the hot glass. Use care when operating.
Venting Requirements: This item requires a chimney with 4" inner diameter.

Can I use the currently existing B-vent venting system I have for a direct vent unit?
A direct-vent appliance will not be able to use the "b-vent" venting that is in place. It will require a new direct vent chimney to be installed. If you choose a B-Vent appliance then you may be able to use the existing venting.
