If you are tired of being cold each winter and want an easy and inexpensive solution, Empire's SR18T Infrared gas heater is something you should consider. It does not require venting and can be transported from room to room, wherever you need it. It can also be more permanent if you decide to mount it on the wall in a certain room. I have a ten year old sr18t and it shuts down after running for a short time. Do you know what part I need to replace?

Answer:
For any vent free appliance, the first part that comes to mind as the potential cause of your complaint would be the ODS pilot assembly. For a natural gas SR18T, this would be part number R-6307. Of course, this is solely a guess and we recommend that any gas appliance be tested by a certified service technician. Before replacing any parts I would suggest that you fully clean the pilot assembly as blockages can often cause such outages. It may also be helpful to confirm that gas pressure to the heater is still adequate.
