What is the difference between this fireplace and the FMI Plantation?
By Tyler M. - NFI Certified Specialist on June 21, 2013
The differences between this model, the FMI Plantation F48HR and the Vantage Hearth VF48I Monticello are merely the firebrick panels on the interior of the fireboxes. The specs of the fireboxes and chimney pipe required are the same for all three. This VF48HI features ivory herringbone firebrick, the VF48I features stacked (straight) ivory firebrick, and the F48 Plantation features warm red herringbone firebrick. Hence the model numbers for each of these fireplaces; "I" for ivory, "H" for herringbone and "R" for red.
