I'm going to install a new firebox and rock my fireplace. Can I lay the rock up to the bottom of the box and down to the top of the hood? I want clean lines with as little of the black showing as possible.....

    Answer:
In a word, yes. You may finish this unit out with non-combustible materials right up to the firebox opening.
