The Dimplex Multi-Fire XD 33" Electric Firebox is extremely versatile with settings for differing light and flame themes. Users will enjoy the variety offered by the Multi-Fire XD, with options ranging from the replication of a real wood fire to vibrantly colored pulsing lights. The included remote control allows users to adjust all settings from anywhere in the room. Once the settings have been customized to the user's preference, the firebox may be turned on or off with a simple wave of the hand using gWave technology. The 1,400W heating system with heat boost can quickly warm areas up to 300 square feet and may be set to specific comfort levels.

Can you tell me the main differences between the Dimplex PF3033HL and DF3033ST and HD?
The difference in these is that the PF has a wave feature to where you can wave in front of the unit to turn it off and on rather than use a remote like the DF. There is a slight difference in the size between the two but it is minimal and the DF provides slightly more BTUs (heat) than the PF.

Unfortunately, there is no surround available for the PF3033 since it is a self-trimming fireplace. A custom-built surround would need to fabricated locally.

Dimplex does not offer a trim or surround for this unit that would cover the rest of a fireplace opening. You may need to have one custom-made locally.

No, this unit and others like it have a glass front. This unit can be operated without heat, however.

Love the appearance of a teal flame
We love the appearance of a real flame as well as the face glass cover. However, the unit is advertised as capable of heating 1,000 sf. Standing in front at a distance of 3 ft you can not feel the heat. With that said, we live in Arizona and did not buy it to heat our 1,000 sq ft living area. Very pleased with its appearance.

Arrived today, very nice realistic fireplace
Very happy with purchase. Wife is allergic to smoke and dust. This was a great replacement for the pellet stove. Again - Very pleased.
