This hand held remote control by Sky-Tech is designed to be used with gas hearth appliances with millivolt valves or electronic spark ignition system, and features an easy to read LCD display. Use this remote control for room temperature control, and it features a 4 button on/off and timer/set transmitter. connectors. This remote also comes with velvet touch casing and a 3 hour countdown timer, is battery operated, and features receivers that will learn up to 2 additional SkyTech transmitters.
Please Note: Does not work with solenoid latching valves.

In some cases, this can be done, but this will depend on the model of your fireplace/insert/log set and whether you have a remote-ready valve.

One such valve kit that may work for your application is the Dexen 6003 Series Natural Gas Millivolt Valve Kit.

I have this control which came my Ascot brand stand alone gas stove. It stopped working. Changing batteries in both the control and receiver on the stove did nothing. The stove control turns on the flame when flipped to "on" .. but not when in remote mod
I recommend confirming the battery voltage in both the remote and receiver. If this is not the case, you should check the polarity of the batteries to ensure this is not the issue. If not, check to make sure the wiring coming from the receiver to the stove is secure and then attempting to turn the fireplace on with the receiver slide switch. You should also check for any corrosion in the receiver's battery compartment. If nothing works, I recommend contacting SkyTech directly at 855-498-8324.

What is the purpose of a countdown timer?
Some folks like to "set it and forget it" when it comes to their fireplace or gas logs. With the countdown timer, your appliance will automatically shut off once the scheduled time is satisfied.
