How do you cut this item and how do you seal the ends?
A sharp knife or pair of cutters will be fine to cut this item to length. The squarer you can make the cut, the better the seal will be. Before installing the gasket, it will be necessary to seal the cut ends by applying a liberal amount of stove gasket adhesive. This will ensure the cut end will not fray or separate.
