How many turns will open this Dante Globe gas valve fully? Is it possible to turn the key too much?
Per the manufacturer, the valve requires approximately 5 rotations between fully open and fully closed. It is not possible to overextend the valve in one direction or the other, as the seat will bottom out in both positions.

Could you extend the floor plate/gas valve connection with a 1/2" nipple?
The connection can be extended, but the thread is 3/4 of an inch. Also, the valve body is male, while the cover has female threads, so a male to female coupling would be needed.
