How thick of a layer of vermiculite should be used?
When pouring the vermiculite over a gas burner, the vermiculite should fill the burner pan completely and cover the burner tube by approximately 1 inch. Specific instructions will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. I recommend checking any owner's literature that you have on hand for the burner.
