We have an Insta-Flame Majestic Gas Fireplace and are trying to find replacement ceramic embers. The model of the unit is a DVR33 and the part number for the "ceramic rock pack" in the manual is 57897.
Can you tell me if this product is suitable, or if you can provide a replacement for the one specifically for the DVR33?

Answer:This replacement ember kit may indeed be a suitable item for your requirements. Specific replacement parts for the DVR33 have long since been discontinued.
Are the current "ceramic rocks" a lightweight spongy material that glows when heated? If so, this would be the correct material to use.

I would like to check if this rockwool is okay to use in my Monessen gas fireplace. It's vent-fee and uses LPG gas. The model is dfx24PVC. In its user manual, it says the fireplace can be used with propane or lpg gas.

Answer:I do not recommend this product for use in a vent free fireplace. Vent free units must have a specific type of ember material that is guaranteed not to produce any harmful byproducts.
