The package contains an angled valve, a cold rolled black steel burner tube, a propane air mixer, a connector and end cap, and one elbow. You also receive a decorative flange and key that has a beautiful modern polished chrome finish. Full and complete instructions make installation easy. With a log lighter you no longer will have to mess with newspaper or starter logs. Just turn on the gas and light to get a roaring fire started quickly.

Can this valve be mounted inside the fireplace?
No, this is a shut-off valve which should be installed outside of the fireplace. The exact distance required will depend on local gas codes.

Does the propane air mixer get located inside the fire box? Or does the air mixer get located outside the fire box?
The air mixer should be located inside the firebox and needs to be attached directly to the gas line stub that enters the fireplace. The burner pipe and coupling will then be attached to the mixer.
