What is the temp rating of this brick?
By Chris C. on September 15, 2016
Answer:The manufacturer does not provide a temperature rating for these panels. However, these panels are designed for decorative use only within a gas burning fireplace where temperatures do not come close to matching the temperatures found in a wood burning fireplace.

Can these panels be used to dress up a gel fuel firebox? How are these panels adhered? Also, could these panels also provide better insulation to keep the original firebox from heating up as much?
By eFireplaceStore on September 29, 2014
Answer:These panels can indeed be used in a gel or gas firebox. They are designed to use the original retaining brackets that came with the fireplace. If your fireplace did not come with panels, retaining brackets would have to be made. Small "L" brackets work fine for this purpose. These panels are purely decorative and not intended for insulation purposes.

I have a wood burning fireplace, and the backwall is bad. Do you have panels for that or for the mortar and bricks?
By Tyler M. - Fireplace Specialist on September 6, 2012
If you know the manufacturer and model information of your fireplace, we may be able to get the factory replacement panels for it. Otherwise, we do offer some universal refractory panels that will work for a factory-built wood-burning fireplace. Please see the following links:
One 24"h x 28"w Panel
Two 24" h x 40"w Panels
These panels are about 3/4" thick and can be cut down to the size you need with a masonry blade or tile saw.
