Is there a specified size for the height of fireplaces? How do I know what size of smoke guard I need?
By Will M. on December 2, 2014
Answer:The size will depend on the size of your fireplace opening and the size of the chimney flue. The fireplace opening and flue should have a 10 to 1 ratio to one another. Meaning, for every 10 square inches of fireplace opening, there should be 1 square inch of flue size. From here, you should be able to determine what your opening should be sized down to and what size smoke guard you will need.

Our fireplace opening is 24 inches. Do you have one that will fit? All I see are 28 inch sizes.
By Will M. on February 8, 2017
Answer:Unfortunately, we will not offer a smoke guard shorter than what is advertised or for an opening width of only 24 inches.

1] Can you make a 6 inch smoke guard [Black] for a fireplace that measures 61 1/2 inches wide at the top?
2] How much will it cost me?
3] How soon can it be delivered?

Answer:All smoke guards listed on our site are premanufactured. At this time, we do not have the facilities to custom fabricate a longer smoke guard. I apologize that I cannot provide this product.

Will this smoke guard attach to my fireplace? it is a prefab type wood burning unit.
By Chris C. on January 29, 2016
Answer:The smoke guard could indeed be used with your fireplace, as it utilizes a spring to fit snugly just inside the fireplace opening.
