Can a stove be placed on this unit as you would use a hearth pad?
This hearth pad is indeed designed to bear the weight of a standard wood stove. The steel wrapper that is used in construction of this unit is fairly thin however. As such, the stove should be lifted into position over the pad and set down carefully. Excess force can dimple or scratch the pad.
