Do you have any steamers that are enameled on the inside? I am very tired of the rust that forms on the inside of the pot.

Answer:I would recommend seasoning any steamer or kettle with linseed oil prior to its first use. This will create a hard protective film on the inside of the kettle, slowing the effects of corrosion. All of the porcelain-coated products offered will only have this finish on the outside and the inside will be cast iron.

Can this be put over a gas flame, on low, on my gas stove?
By eFireplaceStore on January 20, 2015
Answer:The steamers and humidifiers can indeed be used in this way. For best results, the products should always be kept full.

Can you use one of these steamers on a natural gas stove?
By eFireplaceStore on December 31, 2014
Answer:Certainly. Depending on the model of gas stove you have, the top of the stove may only get hot enough in certain locations for the steamer to work well. You may need to experience with placement of it to get the optimal effect.
