Is see through installation more prone to break ins? What about cold air seepage when not in use?

Answer:The stainless steel and ceramic facing kit that is used on an outdoor application does a very good job of insulating the unit and will be comparable to a high quality triple pane window in keeping cold air out of the home.
I cannot say that I have heard of there being an issue with break ins through a see-thru fireplace. The outdoor facing kit is constructed of a very thick ceramic glass that is difficult to crack or break and the surround is not easy to remove quickly. Most likely, it would not be a target for a break in.

Do you have a specification sheet for the dimensions of this unit?
