Are gas logs included? What is the BTU rating?
By Tyler M. - Fireplace Specialist on January 3, 2012

    Answer:
There is no BTU rating for this item because it does not include logs or a burner. This item is only a universal vent-free firebox, and it accepts any set of ventless gas logs with a vent-free burner. We sell ventless gas log sets that will work inside the firebox.

Please see our Ventless Gas Logs page here:

    Ventless Gas Logs

Once there, enter 33 for front width, 27 for rear width and 18 for depth in the Gas Log Calculator on the left-hand side of the page. Then select the other options that you need and you will get a list of available ventless log sets that will fit in this firebox. On each item page for these log sets, you will see the BTU rating information for each.

Will this Majestic Lo-Rider LCUF ventless fireplace work with propane?
    By Will M. on June 29, 2015

    Answer:
This product is simply a firebox made for use with any natural gas or propane ventless log set with suitable dimensions. Please use our gas log calculator and enter the hearth dimensions of 32-1/2 in. W x 30-1/4 in. H x 15 in. D x 25-7/8 in. RW to see the gas log options that will work with this firebox.

Can you please tell me if this comes with a complete fireplace?
    By Tyler M. on September 2, 2014

    Answer:
No, this item is only a universal vent-free firebox and it does not include any logs or a burner. Moreover, it does not include the rectangular frame and screen doors shown in the photo; these are optional accessories.

You can see our full selection of ventless gas log sets here:

Once there, enter 33 for front width, 27 for rear width and 18 for depth in the Gas Log Calculator on the left-hand side of the page. Then select the other options that you need and you will get a list of available ventless log sets that will fit in this firebox. Does this come with the front and surround as shown in the photos, or is it only the firebox and that a front and surround are purchased as additional accessories?
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on February 20, 2013

    Answer:
Much like the MCUF, the decorative front and doors are optional extras that can be added to this firebox. The doors and front are listed under the Accessories tab above. Both the curved and rectangular fronts are available for this unit.

What is the difference between the LCUF32-R and LCUF36C-R ?
    By Magan B. on November 19, 2012

    Answer:
The LCUF32-R is a radiant (clean face) firebox. The LCUF32-C is a circulating (louvered) fire box. The circulation will allow for the addition of a blower which will circulate the heated air into the room.

What is the log set in the picture?

I have an old 1910's Bungalow. The two and one half story fireplace had to be removed to allow the 230 ton house to be moved. Currently the 1st and second floor former fireplace areas have a huge hole in the side of the house where the former brick fireplace stood for over 100 years. Now I am tasked with putting back the former fireplace. Since I didn't build it I don't know what all that entails. Do you have any suggestions? I'm thinking of vent free gas.
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on November 26, 2013

    Answer:
A manufactured fireplace would certainly be the most cost effective way to go, as pouring a footer and having a new masonry chimney built can be labor intensive and costly. Either a vent free gas fireplace or direct vent unit would be the best way to go. The vent free box would only require that you frame an enclosure in place of the old fireplace. The same could be done with a direct vent fireplace, which can vent horizontally to the outside wall. A small "bumpout" can be built on the outside wall of the home to house the fireplace. This will keep you from having to sacrifice any interior space.

What logs and blower works best with this model insert?
By eFireplaceStore on November 14, 2014

    Answer:
This particular firebox does not utilize a blower, due to its clean face design. The default photo shows the Majestic 24" Stony Creek Ventless Natural Gas Log Set with Variable Flame Remote Pilot Kit being used with the Monessen SC2430EK Two Top Log Enhancement Kit for SC24-R and SC30-R Log Sets. This is the ideal set to use and the most popular model we sell for this box.

What is the middle width of the firebox of this Majestic Lo-Rider clean-face vent-free firebox? Also, would this work with the Empire 24 inch Ponderosa refractory ventless log set?
By eFireplaceStore on August 31, 2015

    Answer:
The middle width of the 36 inch Lo-Rider is 29.75 inches. The manual valve version of the 24 inch Ponderosa set will require a 30.5 inch middle width, but the box is deep enough to pull the unit forward to accommodate the extra width. All of the other pilot assemblies require less width and will fit without an issue.

Does this unit come with logs? If not, what log set is recommended for this unit? What is the difference between framing and viewing dimensions?
By eFireplaceStore on October 2, 2014

    Answer:
This unit is just a firebox only and does not come with a log set. However, we do carry several 18 inch and 24 inch remote ready log sets that can be used with this model. There are both propane and natural gas versions.

The framing dimensions reference the size of the 2 x 4 enclosure that would be needed to house the firebox, while the viewing dimensions is that actual opening size of the fireplace.
