Do you have complete ventless gas fireplaces that have everything included ?

I have a manufactured for Marathon by Monessen model number MDFS3224NVA natural gas fireplace. The remote control box attached to the unit has the plastic broken where the screws hold it in place. Can I get just the cover?
By Tyler M. - Fireplace Specialist on December 24, 2012
Answer:Unfortunately, no. A replacement remote receiver can only be obtained by purchasing a complete remote control kit, which would include the hand-held transmitter and the receiver box.

Is it safe to recess this unit back into a wall?
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on February 10, 2014
Answer:This unit can indeed be built flush within a combustible wall or enclosure. Proper clearances to maintain to the surrounding framing will be noted in the owner's manual for the box.

Do you have to buy the gas log set separately? If so, how do you know what gas log set to purchase for unit?
By Customer Service on October 17, 2011
You are correct. When purchasing our CUI-GCUF32C-F, the gas log set is not included. You have the option to pick any of our vent free log sets for installation into this firebox. Due to the dimensions of this firebox, we would recommend you use a set no larger than 18". Please take a look at all of our vent free logs here:
Ventless Gas Logs

I am interested in a vent free fireplace. Does this fireplace use propane? Are you able to ship to Bermuda?
By Tyler M. - Fireplace Specialist on February 1, 2013
This vent-free firebox does not include a burner or log set, so you would need to purchase a ventless propane gas log set
separately to install inside it. Unfortunately, no, we cannot ship to Bermuda; we only ship to the US and Canada. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Can I install one of these vent-free fireboxes and use gel fuel ? I want the look of brick in the firebox, not the cheaper metal background that comes with the fuel gel fireplaces.
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on September 4, 2013
Answer:Certainly. Because gel burners release a much lower BTU output in comparison to gas logs, there will be no reason why a vent free firebox cannot be used in this way.

How many Btu's does this unit put out?
By Kevin E. - Fireplace Specialist on November 7, 2011
Answer:This item is only a firebox. It requires the installation of a ventless gas log set for completion. It is large enough to accommodate an 18" log set. Log sets of that size have a BTU range of 20,000 to 36,000 BTU. Please be aware that many jurisdictions prohibit the installation of vent free appliances. Much of California is among these.
