This wood burning stove features a removable hot plate, a gasket to mark ideal "hot zones", and even has fenders to help keep your pots in place. And the cast iron cooking surface conducts heat so well that you may even find yourself using this stove in place of your regular one.
But this stove is useful for more than just cooking. The stylish design, for example, is capable of enhancing the decor of any living space. Equipped with a lined refractory firebox and built-in wood storage shelf, you'll also find that this stove provides efficient and convenient heat.

Does the 1150P have a catalytic converter or use secondary combustion to keep clean? How long is the burn time? How much does it weigh?
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on December 10, 2013
Napoleon stoves are non-catalytic, instead using secondary air injection and fiber baffles to recirculate the combustion gases and achieve a clean burn. Burn time for this stove is 7 hours, with a total stove weight of 390 pounds.

Is this a mobile home rated fireplace? Also, I cannot tell from the pictures but how much of it is cast iron? Can you also please tell me of other mobile home rated wood stoves that would work with a 1000 sq ft home?
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on January 7, 2014
Unfortunately, this particular model of stove is not tested or listed for use in a mobile home. Only the Napoleon Small Pedestal Wood Burning Stove has been tested for this type of application. As with the 1150, the 1100 is mostly plate steel panels, save for the door, which is cast iron.

Any idea what the weight of this unit is?
By Tyler M. - Fireplace Specialist on November 28, 2012
The stove itself weighs 430 lbs, and each of the door options weighs 25 lbs each.

Does any model come with a screen? Does the blower on this unit blow heat out through the front? What's the burn time?
By Tyler M. - NFI Certified Specialist on July 19, 2013
No, this model does not have a screen. Yes, the optional EP65 blower will indeed help circulate the heat more efficiently from the front. The burn time on this 1150P is approximately 7 hours on low burn.

I have to replace my 20 y.o.Vermont Castings Encore Defiant wood stove. Is this an equal replacement?
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on August 27, 2013
While the operating characteristics of a plate steel stove and a cast iron stove differ, this is indeed a roughly equal replacement. This stove will heat a similar amount of space and uses a similar size log. However, it requires a smaller flue and is non-catalytic. Most stoves require a 6 inch flue pipe now, as less heat is released to the chimney.

Do you also sale the one that has two ovens?
By Tyler M. - Fireplace Specialist on November 15, 2011
This is the only stove made by Napoleon that has a removable hot plate and lifter with stainless steel gasket to mark "Hot Zones."
