Does this vent have a baffle that closes it from drafts when not in use?
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on February 18, 2014
Answer:The termination does have an internal baffle that helps against strong backdrafts, but the baffle is fixed and does not close off the vent when the unit is not in use. I am not aware of a direct vent system that is set up in this way, although some units do have a manual switch that allows the pilot to burn and offset some of the cold air that can result in the room where the fireplace is located.

What are the dimensions of this product?

Answer:This horizontal terminal cap measures 16" wide and 16" high, with a 14" depth (protrusion) from the wall. This terminal is only for use with Napoleon's 8" inner diameter and 10" outer diameter flexible direct vent gas pipe, which is used on only a few of their largest fireplaces.

I'm looking at making a fireplace/entertainment center. I need to have the fireplace vented through the wall and not get too hot for the TV. Any ideas?

I have a waterford emerald vented, propane free, standing stove (B-Vent) and I need to (SIT 820 NOVA mV). I need to vent it through the wall. It states it listed for a 4" 100mm Class B Venting system. What parts do I need to vent it out my home and exterior vinyl siding?
