My Bayfield stove is installed and running. Is the installation of the sandstone panels easy for the consuming to do? I am definitely a handy man, but want to be sure that it's okay for me to buy them myself and install them myself.

Answer:A handy homeowner can indeed install the panels without having to consult with a professional installer. The panels are installed through the front door opening of the stove and held in place with simple retaining brackets. Installation of the panels can be completed in approximately 30 minutes.

We have a woodburning fireplace that we want to clean up. Can we use these panels to replace our old 16 x 17 3/4 and 17 3/4 x 19 3/4 panels?

These panels are intended for use in a gas stove and would not hold up to the heat and soot generated by a wood burning fire. The only universal wood burning panels we offer are cut to fit styles. An example is the Hargrove Replacement Fireplace Refractory Panel - 24 inch X 28 inch
. These panels fit most prefabricated wood burning fireplaces and can be easily cut with a masonry saw.
