Is it possible to get this kit with a 6' flex pipe instead of a 5' flex pipe?
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on March 4, 2013
Answer:Unfortunately, the manufacturer only offers the flex vent in 5 foot sections. In order to extend the vent, another section of 5 foot duct would need to be purchased and attached with a coupler. Another route is to purchase a longer section of flexible 8 inch HVAC ductwork, as this can be substituted in place of the 5 foot duct that comes as part of the kit.

Where is the thermometer located that tells the fan to go on?
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on November 11, 2013
Answer:This system does not have a fan as part of the assembly. Instead, it passively vents heat that is collected from the fireplace chassis to the room. However, when the unit is equipped with a circulating fan, some of the circulating air that is pushed into the immediate area will also makes its way to the gravity vent system. The fan within the unit will be controlled by a thermostatic switch and will have a variable speed rheostat, allowing you to manually turn down fan speed.

Is this hot air vent used to heat other rooms? If yes, can it be hooked up to a blower or fan?
By Will M. on February 15, 2017
Answer:This product is used to direct heat from the Napoleon NZ3000 and NZ6000 fireplaces to adjacent rooms. When one of these models is used with a blower, some of the heated air forced into the room where the fireplace is installed will also make it into the gravity vent system and adjacent rooms.
