I'm looking for a stone fireplace that can be open to the inside and outside to install in a gazebo that I'm building. I'm looking for a wood burning fire place that has a gas log lighter as I've already run gas to the location. Do you have anything that might work?

Do your fireplace kits come with the stone just like in pictures or is that an extra cost?
By Tyler M. - NFI Certified Specialist on September 4, 2013
Answer:None of our patio fireplaces come with the stone or masonry surround in which you see them pictured; these are custom enclosures made for the stock photos. Each fireplace consists of the stainless steel firebox and internal components only.

Do the outdoor natural gas fireplaces put off or generate any heat as one would expect the wood-burning fireplaces to do?
By Tyler M. - Fireplace Specialist on December 17, 2012
Answer:Yes, our outdoor gas fireplaces also provide a generous amount of heat, though not as much as a wood-burning fireplace.

Do the outdoor gas fireplaces use a blower for heat distribution?
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on April 1, 2013
Answer:Because of the increased humidity and air circulation in an outdoor environment, a circulating blower is not used on these units. Instead, natural radiation and convection is used to circulate heat.

I am looking for an outdoor wood burning fireplace. I have the exterior stone and want to know what else I need in addition to the fire box. Do I need a flue, a chimney cap, etc?
By Tyler M. - NFI Certified Specialist on September 20, 2013
Answer:If you want an outdoor woodburning fireplace, then yes, you will need a chimney. Each manufacturer of our outdoor woodburning fireplaces makes their own chimney pipe for their units; please let us know if you have any questions. If you are interested in a vent-free gas outdoor fireplace, the unit will simply need to be enclosed.
