The cast iron Small Oak Fireback features the same beauty and durability as the large Great Oak Fireback but is specifically sized for small or prefabricated fireplaces. This fireback features a classic oak design rendered in ultra-sturdy cast iron that will season with each fire you build. This fireback protects the back of your fireplace from excessive heat and helps capture and radiate heat for a burn that will keep your toes warm.
Please Note: Each fireback is hand-cast. Dimensions may vary up to 1/2" due to the forging process.

Great product
Our fireplace needed repointing and the mason said that a fireback would protect the bricks and keep it from needling any work for 20+ years. That sold me! The fireback is beautiful and fits nicely. We purchased the feet because we have a Rumford fireplace with a slanted back. The fireback is heavy so it was a little tricky getting the angle right in the feet but it is not going anywhere now. I was worried that the added bulk in the back of the firebox would make more smoke because the logs would be closer to the front but for some reason, there is less smoke. We are very pleased and I wish we had gotten one years ago.
