Can you give me a name of a quality soot vacuum to remove the soot on completion of chimney cleaning?

A good quality product to use for this purpose is the Drolet Cheetah Ii Ash Vaccum
. This unit is a nice compromise between the low quality models commonly available at home supply stores and more expensive professional models that are not realistic for homeowner use.

What is the system that is used on a drill from the bottom of the chimney? I have stainless liner in my chimney.

Systems designed to be used with a drill will tend to not utilize threaded connections as these can back off if the drill is run in reverse. A system such as the Rovac ButtonLok system is ideal if a drill is being used, as the rods lock together with a spring loaded button style connector that cannot back off if the drill is run in reverse. The rods are available in various lengths as seen here
. The drill adapter for the rods can be viewed here
. For cleaning a prefabricated system, I would suggest the use of only the polypropylene brushes as they will not damage the inner stainless steel wall of the chimney system.
