I ordered this because our new gas logs were not putting out that much heat. The fireback made a noticeable difference on the amount of heat it puts out.

Overall we are very happy with the unit. It went together easy. My only question, which I quickly figured out was that there was NOT a protective coating on both sides, but It has increased the heat from the fireplace by about 30%

It Works Well
I converted a wood fireplace into a gas fireplace and it was warming up the living room but just not enough. So with apprehension I ordered the stainless steel fireback hoping it would work. To my surprise this works pretty well. It definitely pushes more heat into the room. Overall I am very happy with this product because it worked the way I needed it to.
