I have an 8 Inch flexible round stainless steel chimney liner. What would be the best brush for me to get? Should I get this Rutland Chimney Sweep Round Wire Chimney Cleaning Brush or something else?

Typically, wire brushes are reserved for terracotta lined masonry flues and poly brushes are used for prefabricated, stainless chimneys. You will want to oversize your brush head, so the Rutland Professional's Choice Round Poly Chimney Cleaning Brush - 9 Inch Diameter would be appropriate.

    Very Compatible
I?ve already made use of this to clean out our wood-burning chimney. It works wonderfully! The stiff bristles really loosen up the soot. The whole thing is very versatile and fit our chimney great. Also, the rods are a standard size, so they are very compatible.

Tricky To Use But Excellent Results
The soot eater does a good job getting the loose stuff out of your chimney. I used it several times and found that the flexibility allowed me to do it all from the bottom opening of the chimney. I had to use the metal brush to work at the more difficult stuff that the soot eater didn?t dislodge. It takes a little finagling to get the brush to work up and down the chimney. To get it down you have to connect a chain or rope to the loop on the brush?s bottom. Then to get it back up you?ll want to have the extensions that are sold separately. It?s a little tricky to make work, but once you get it worked out, it does an excellent job. I?m very pleased with the results!
