Increased Draft
I experienced an increase in my draft from installing the kit, although I am still getting smoke rollout every so often in my fireplace even with this kit. But the draft is better than what is was and makeup air is definitely there.

Fresh air kit
This kit gives you most of what you need. If it came with the hose it would be a good deal. the louver is plastic and has a screen in it. The part for hooking at the stove is steel and will work but you may want to know it is oblong to cut height down.
