How do you get the coil to slide onto the handle?
Depending on your model of stove, there may be a pair of small rises at the end of the handle rod that help hold the spring handle in place. Other models have a completely smooth rod with no indentations or rises. Both styles have no fasteners to hold the spring handle in place and the spring is simply pushed onto the rod, although significantly more force is needed to remove or install the spring handle onto a rod with the rises at the end.
