The dependable stove pipe components from Security feature a double wall for greater insulation and safety, allowing a 6" clearance to combustible materials. They are designed to be installed on stoves that use solid fuels--wood, coal, or pellets--and can handle the higher flue temperatures that these fuels produce. A black finish gives even technologically modern stoves the traditional appearance that you like. Adaptors and connectors are available so that this 6" diameter pipe can be used with most solid fuel stoves.
I have a security ICC cathedral box that transitions to a single wall pipe (security). I want to shift the pipe closer to the wall and change it to a double wall pipe with an adjustable 90 or 45. Can I attach the single wall pipe directly to the double wall 45/90, or do I need an adapter?

The same stainless steel flue extension that protrudes from the bottom of the ceiling support box can be used to connect to the Security double wall pipe. Single wall and double wall pipe should not be connected together, as the products are not listed to be used together. The entire stovepipe run would have to be changed to double wall, in order to get the reduced clearances to the wall.

If I use a tee do I need to use an adapter ? The pipe comes out of the back of the stove, NOT the top.

No, when using a tee on the back of a stove the adapter is not necessary.

We do indeed carry the listed products. One question I do have is regarding the insulated pipe. Will this be a Class A chimney pipe or an air insulated stovepipe? Also, will this be used in conjunction with another brand of product? If so, what brand?
