Our firebox measures 28"H x 38"W. What is the minimum size for a screen? I also really like this screen.
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on March 6, 2012
Answer:Typically, it is best to have at least 1 inch of overlap, all the way around the perimeter of the firebox. This will ensure that there is no way an ember can fall past the screen.

Are the dimensions inclusive of the legs? What are the dimensions of the screen portion only? I'm looking to cover a gas fireplace.
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on September 10, 2013
Answer:The dimensions will include the legs, however the dimensions do not list the projection of the legs from the front of the screen. Per the manufacturer, the projection is approximately 8 inches.

Will this UniFlame single panel Olde World iron fireplace screen with doors and cast scrolls sit flush against a fireplace?
By Will M. on November 13, 2015
Answer:Per the manufacturer, the legs on this screen project rearward about 4"-5", which would prohibit the screen from sitting flush against the fireplace opening.
