Do we get all 3 boards in the picture for this price?
    1 Answer
No, this part is only the 16-in. x 48-in. Brick Hearth Extender, so there is only this one panel included in this price.

We are putting in an outdoor sauna and plan to use a wood fired heater. Would these work for reducing clearance around the heater and stove pipe if I provide an air space between this and the wall?
    1 Answer
This can be used to reduce clearance. You will need to refer to the clearance guidance for your wood burning heater to see how much R value is required to reduce clearance.

Is it OK to actually set the front legs of my stove on this R-CO 16 x 48" brick hearth extender provided that I have some layers of micore and durock under it to up the R value?
    1 Answer
The hearth extender product will have the same 3 R Value as the other R-CO stove boards and would subsequently be perfectly acceptable to set your stove legs on top of, so long as the remaining floor protection area was covered per the minimum dimensions in the product literature, which also stated that the floor protector needed an R value of 3.

How difficult is it to cut the hearth pad to fit an irregular pattern?
    1 Answer
The pad can be cut with a band saw or reciprocating saw with a metal cutting blade, but care will need to be taken to match the shape of the cut to the shape of the hearth. The material is thick, so it could prove difficult to get an exact match.

    What is the shape?
    1 Answer
This 16" x 48" extender is a rectangle with diagonal cut front corners. Every hearth extender we have will be manufactured in either this shape or as a perfect rectangle. All of the hearth pads will be rectangular or will have one or two diagonal cuts on the front edge.

    A great purchase.
This is exactly what was needed to protect our floor; both durable and attractive. A perfect match to the brick on the fireplace. We couldn't be happier with our choice.
