Why do you need a 120v electrical outlet to operate this stove?
    1 Answer
120V is only required if you are installing the optional blower (not included).  If you are not using the blower, this stove does not require electricity.

I have vinyl plank flooring I see it can sit directly on the floor but it also mentions a possibility of discoloring? What about the walls behind the stove should they be tiled?
    1 Answer
No, if the stove is installed with the proper clearance requirements maintained, nothing needs to be done to the surrounding walls.

Can you recommend a touch-up paint for the door? The flat brown areas and the glossy enamel areas were scratched during delivery.
    1 Answer
We would have to recommend contacting the manufacturer directly because we do not have a way of matching these colors. We apologize for the inconvenience; any of our stove paints should suffice, but, again, we cannot advise on matching these colors.

When I shut off the stove the pilot light stays on for an hour before shutting off. Do you have any suggestions?
    1 Answer
Your thermocouple is possibly not recognizing the pilot flame which is causing it to go out. You will want to clean the thermocouple with a piece of emery cloth or high grit (1000) sandpaper. This may resolve the issue. Another issue that could be causing this is the connection point between the thermocouple lead and the gas valve. Depending on your fireplace, there may be either a pair of lead wires or a solid copper lead that is held in place by a nut. Either way, loosening and cleaning the connection point at the gas valve will often make a difference, as excessive voltage drop can occur at this location and cause the pilot to drop out.

I see this stove has a standing pilot. Can it be turned off and on to be used only when needed?
    1 Answer
Yes. The pilot can be extinguished, and there is a piezo "push-button" spark ignitor to assist with manual pilot relighting.

Is this model supposed to come with glass doors?

    1 Answer
Vent free units do not have glass doors but screen doors. The front screen door is the only location the unit has for combustion air that is why vent free units do not normally have glass doors.
