The bolted gas fittings, designed to strengthen the structural elements and secure the media retention, fit inside a 2.5" deep pan with a 1.3" pan lip circumference to keep the unit sturdy without unwanted slipping. It also contains three well-constructed weep holes for water drainage to prevent destructive pooling of water and corrosion. Purchasing a vinyl cover can also assist with this possible issue.
