I want to add this to my fire pit but I was wondering what I would need? Can I run a 1/2 inch black iron pipe or do I need to have one that is bigger? Also, I am going to hook it up to a propane bottle so what would I need to go from a bottle to black iro
This model uses a 1/2 inch hub and 1/2 inch iron pipe can be used for very short runs of 3 feet or less. Any longer and it would be best to size up to a 3/4 inch supply line to handle the volume. Because of the BTU output of this unit, it would be best to use a 40 pound or larger LP tank. A 20 pound tank would be depleted in a little over 1 hour of burn time. Operating the unit at less than full burn will extend the amount of time between refueling.
