Is this all I need over my carpet for a wood stove? Should I remove the carpet before installing a wood stove?
    1 Answer
By code, a wood stove should not be installed on top of a carpeted surface, even if it is covered by a noncombustible hearth pad. The carpet should be removed and the hearth pad used as a radiant barrier, if there is wood beneath the carpet.
