Turn your traditional wood-burning fireplace into an efficient, cutting-edge gas fireplace with the Kingsman VFI25 Vented Fireplace Insert. Listed in the USA and Canada as a Vented Gas Fireplace, this gas insert includes a dual burner with glowing embers and fits into the area where your original wood-burning fireplace was before. The ceramic glass face erases the need for a screen, and the Kingsman VF125 has a SIT valve with Hi/Lo setting. The 4-inch flue keeps your insert ventilated, and a variable speed thermostat controlled blower are included along with a safety spill switch. The unit reaches 25,000 BTU and fits inside 24"W x 17-1/2"H x 16"D dimensions.
I don't like the look of fireplace logs. Could I use this model with just the embers (no logs) or lava rock (instead of the supplied logs)?
Lava rock should never be placed atop the burner with any gas fireplace. While the embers should always be placed atop the burner as described in the installation manual, the logs should also be placed as instructed in the product literature for proper combustion and flame effect.
I have an old Edwardian house in California with a small fireplace. The internal cavity is only 20 inches wide and 23 inches high and 11 inches deep. Will this insert fit? Is there another that will fit?
