Great heat output
We had this installed about 2 months ago and are pleased with how well it heats our family room, kitchen, and breakfast nook. It is lovely to watch the flames dance around the realistic-looking logs. The only problem is that the ignitor switch sparks but will not light the pilot and I have to light it with a match each time. I wrote to customer service and they promptly sent me a new ignitor. Unfortunately, I am clueless as to how to replace it and do not want to incur the cost of having a service person install it. Using a match is only a minor inconvenience. Overall, we are very happy with our purchase.

Love it!!
We purchased our fireplace, and my husband and installed it himself. Very easy installation. The only reason I only gave it 4/5 stars, is because of a little frustration before we could use and enjoy it. I understand it is common now, but did not know, that you have to burn off the paint on the logs. It kept sending our smoke alarms off, even though there was no smoke. The fire department assured us that it was only The stuff being burned off, and it wasn't harmful at all. Our suggestion, would be to open all of your windows and burn it for hours, to get rid of the residue on the logs. I have since been told this is common with all gas fireplaces.
Looks beautiful, and there are many much more pricey ones out there, that aren't even as pretty, and much more fake looking.

Simple but effective
I have a 10 year old vent-free Monessen fireplace so I kinda knew what to expect. The fumes are pretty pungent for the first few days - we had to leave all the doors and windows open! Also one of the logs did not want to rest on the edge of the burner cage, so it balances precariously on the outside edge, being kept in place by a smaller log on top of it. Finally, the 30" logs on the 24" burner makes the flame look pretty puny. But it sure puts out the heat! And the price at this store couldn't be beat after their 15% discount.
HEAT! Vent free.
Smelly at first. 30" logs too big for the 24" burner.

Nice Quality Logs and Realistic Looking
This seems to be good quality, it works well and heats our place up quite nicely. The sound the gas makes is louder than I expected but it doesn't interfere with the TV or conversations.
Heats well and looks realistic
The controls are kind of hard to reach because of my fire box.
