please recommend a ventless natural gas fire place insert that is 16-18 inches and comes with a fan/blower and a remote control . Thanks
    1 Answer
While we are able to put together a package including one of the Buck Stove ventless gas log sets along with a blower and remote, only ventless gas fireplaces and inserts may arrive with these items pre-installed. Due to the intended purpose of vented and ventless gas log sets, there would be nowhere for a blower to be placed. Vented gas logs are designed for installation into an existing prefabricated or masonry wood burning fireplace while ventless gas logs may also be installed into a listed ventless firebox. Prefabricated fireplaces and fireboxes may sometimes incorporate a blower, but this blower is normally housed beneath the hearth floor and below the logs, safely away from the heat produced by a gas log set. Buck Stove is the only brand of gas logs that we offer that manufactures an optional blower that may be safely placed inside of the fireplace opening. Your question was in response to our selection of Real Fyre ventless gas logs, so I apologize if you were truly looking for an insert like the options we offer here.

Can or should you clean your logs?
    1 Answer
You should clean your logs at least once a year and the exact instructions for this will be described in the product literature originally included with your log set. As this information may have been misplaced and the specific instructions will differ depending on the exact specifications for your log set, I recommend locating the metal data plate attached to the log set that should have been tucked underneath the gas log burner during installation. With the make and model number, you should be able to obtain the installation manual via an online search or by contacting the manufacturer.
