Our Price Match Policy
If you find a product on a competitor's website where their total price with shipping and sales tax is lower than our total price, we will gladly beat it by 10% of the difference in price!
The product(s) must have a verifiable online advertised price. This offer is not valid with the use of any coupon from eFireplaceStore. This policy excludes closeouts, liquidations, store specific coupons or rebates, and clearance items. eFireplaceStore will not price match orders placed previously or already received. We do not match local stores or ads, local pick-ups, auction sites (e.g. ebay), or wholesale club prices in which there is a fee to join, such as BJ's Wholesale, Costco Wholesale, & Sam's Club Wholesale. The competitor must have the item in stock and available for immediate shipping to qualify. We must be able to calculate their total with shipping and sales tax on their website—we will not call them for special quotes on items or freight and will not price match to an email quote.

Figuring out what kind of piping you need to install your fireplace, stove, or other hearth appliance can be intimidating. To simplify things, we will examine several aspects of the most common types of chimney pipe and explain their uses and applications.
We plan to help you familiarize yourself with chimney and stove pipe. First and foremost, in any installation, you'll want to consult the owner's manual for your hearth appliance. Different fireplaces and stoves have varying venting requirements. These requirements involve more than just the kind of pipe you need, like the DuraVent chimney pipe; they also include specific information regarding clearances and offsets that require following for safe and proper installation. If anything in your manual is unclear or confusing, contact the manufacturer of your appliance directly for clarification.
But if you need further assistance reaching your manufacturer, please call us at 800.203.1642. Our NFI-certified specialists will be happy to help you in any way they can.

Does my double-wall pipe coming from the top of the woodstove go on the inside or the outside of the flue extension at the bottom of the square support box?

Bill from Charlotte NC asked:
Can you use a flexible pipe on a direct vent gas fireplace rather than cut a stud? It is about a 3'' offset and will allow me to center the fireplace between two wall cabinets. Is this safe?
This will depend on the specific model. Some direct vent gas fireplaces can utilize a flexible vent pipe, but others cannot. This information will be stated clearly in the installation manual.

I am replacing an existing stove that has an 8" stove pipe through to the roof. The new stove has a 6" outlet, thus sized for a 6" stove pipe. Can I install an adaptor that goes from 6" to 8" to avert changing everything on the roof?
We do offer 6" to 8" stove pipe adapters that increase stove pipe size before connecting to class a chimney.

Can an existing masonry chimney with a clay flue liner be raised using a metal adapter and triple wall pipe to the required height?
Yes, you can use an anchor plate to transition a functional masonry chimney to a manufactured, stainless steel class A chimney system. The diameter of the pipe needed will depend on the inside flue dimensions of the existing chimney.

I bought the thimble to go thru the wall, but the wall width is much less than the thimble width. Is it acceptable to reduce the width of the thimble using a tin cutter to match the width of the wall?
Assuming the thimble is only a conduit for a pass through, and not a connected part/adaptor for the pipe itself, yes, this can be done.

How long (years) should a Class-A chimney pipe system last? A local contractor has told me 20 years.
20 years for class A pipe is a fairly conservative estimate for lifespan, but that certainly holds true for some applications.

Camille L. from 11792 asked:
When installing a stainless steel 6-inch liner in a masonry chimney can you use a 6-inch to 5-inch adapter and continue on down with the 5-inch stainless steel insert to the tea?
The appliance you are installing will dictate the diameter of your vent system. Most wood inserts require a 6" diameter stainless steel liner that cannot be reduced in size.

Hyvis from Creston, ia asked:
Do I need an adapter to go from double insulated pipe to a triple?
You can't go from double insulated chimney pipe to triple insulated chimney pipe. Once you pick a brand and a size you have to stay with that for the entire install. Adapters are required to go from the black stove pipe to the chimney components. Most brands have adapters that are sold separately. Â

Arthur A. from HHEBER, UTAH 84032 asked:
Can I vent a 80,000 BTU garage furnace flue (4" diameter, lp) into an existing 8" wood burning stove flue (single wall) prior to going through the attic's class-A flue?
We do not recommend changing the diameter on your furnace. It is best to use the appropriate pipe as listed by the manufacturer for the specific model you are venting. Such a change in flue diameter can lead to issues with proper draft and flow, impacting the performance of the furnace.
