    Gas Fire Starters and Kits

There are few things more enjoyable than sitting around a fire with friends and family and enjoying a warm cup of hot cocoa, but the actual process of starting the fire can be tedious and frustrating at times. Thankfully, has a great line of natural and propane gas fireplace starters. One of our best sellers is the Copperfield Straight Gas Log Lighter with Mixing Chamber for Natural Gas. This gas starter pipe is a simple, less labor intensive way to start a traditional wood fire in your home. Simply arrange your fuel logs on your fireplace grate in the configuration you desire, open the gas valve supplying the gas fire starter, and use a lighter or long match to ignite the fuel. In a matter of minutes the high temperatures generated by the burning gas will evaporate the moisture from the logs and combustion will commence, allowing you to turn of the gas to the starting aid. Starting a wood fire has never been easier!

Back in the 1980s, my dad had a fire starter that was fueled by a Coleman 16.4 oz propane cylinder. When folded out, it made an 90 degree L. One leg of the L was the fire starter and the other leg was the handle, the hose, and the regulator. Do you carry anything like this? I haven't seen one in like it in years, but I'm looking for something similar. Thanks in advance, Walt

Unfortunately, we do not carry anything like what you have described. This may be found at a local camping equipment shop or hardware store.

With starter pipe for natural gas, do I need a mixing chamber or will the pipe work properly with just the burner holes?
    1 Answer
Natural gas log lighters will have an injector to mix fuel and not an adjustable air mixer.
