There's nothing like gathering with family and friends around a roaring fire, but lighting that fire can sometimes make the occasion more frustrating than it needs to be. Fortunately, AW Perkins knows that pain and has what you need to mitigate it. These quick-lighting fire starters are composed of compressed wood fibers and highly-flammable paraffin wax. Plant one at the bottom of your kindling or below your bed of coals, light one corner, and let these started do the hard work for you. Each block burns for up to twelve minutes even when damp, giving your fuel time to catch. AW Perkins' quick-light fire-starters don't produce any foul odors or gases, making them useful for grills and pizza ovens, too!

Fireplace starters will work even with damp wood. You would break off pieces, put them in contact with the wood, and light with a match or long lighter as per usual.
