Each block burns for up to twelve minutes even when damp, giving your fuel time to catch. AW Perkins' quick-light fire-starters don't produce any foul odors or gases, making them useful for grills and pizza ovens, too!

How do you light the square? Are these waterproof? Will they still light if they get wet?
Fireplace starters will work even with damp wood. You would break off pieces, put them in contact with the wood, and light with a match or long lighter as per usual.
