Unfortunately, no. This item is intended to be used as a gas starting device to light firewood, so there is no BTU rating.

Yes, this is a similar product to what you have described. Please note that this particular it is for use with natural gas only. We do offer propane options as well if needed.

Does the log lighter have a built in pilot?

No, this log lighter will be controlled by a shut-off gas valve located near the fireplace. You would turn on the gas supply, light the gas with a match and let it burn as log until your wood is burning well. At this point you would shut off the gas supply.

Great item, Great price, Great service
This was just what I was looking for, a small well built log lighter. Called customer service prior to ordering to ask questions about it and was very happy with the service I received.
Solid, well built, works great.
Some of the holes had been filled in with whatever coating is on it, had to open them up with a pin, but that was no big deal and works great, but may be confusing to someone who wouldn't think to look at the holes.
